"Basic Level Krieger and Kunz Therapeutic Touch" is a 12 contact hour program

Who this program is designed for:

Healthcare professionals
Interested individuals with the desire to help themselves and others
No previous knowledge or experience in Therapeutic Touch (TT) is necessary
Experience in meditation, imagery or visualization may be helpful, but is not necessary
Knowledge of other forms of energy work may or may not be useful

 

Objectives

Define Therapeutic Touch
Participate in a centering exercise
Discuss the historical development of Therapeutic Touch as an introduction to the process
Identify theoretical frameworks and basic assumptions that support the Therapeutic Touch process
Discuss the aspects of the Therapeutic Touch process: centering, assessment, intervention, and evaluation.
Identify potential problems if not centered during Therapeutic Touch
Develop a personal sense of  "pattern recognition" of the human energy field
Discuss the scientific basis for Therapeutic Touch
Discuss beginning clinical issues affecting the integration of Therapeutic Touch into practice
Identify 3 criteria to become a Therapeutic Touch practitioner as set forth by Nurse Healers -   Professional Associates International, Inc.

"Intermediate Level Krieger and Kunz Therapeutic Touch" is a 14 contact hour program

Who this program is designed for:

Healthcare professionals
Non healthcare professionals and interested individuals may attend
Have completed at least 12 hours of content in a Basic/Beginner Therapeutic Touch program by a qualified Therapeutic Touch teacher
Consistent practice of Therapeutic Touch over at least a year period (average 2 times/week)
Recommended mentoring arrangement according to NH-PAI criteria

Objectives

Participate in the Therapeutic Touch (TT) process by demonstrating the centering, assessment, intervention and evaluation aspects during group practice.
Explore the meditative aspects of TT from a personal awareness perspective.
Discuss three theoretical frameworks that support the process of TT.
Discuss methods for integrating Therapeutic Touch into the practice setting.
Discuss Therapeutic Touch with expanded personal awareness of the process.
Examine clinical applications of Therapeutic Touch.
Explore the use of complementary healing interventions as they relate to Therapeutic Touch.
Discuss current status of Therapeutic Touch research.
Examine personal foundations necessary for the maintenance and deepening of a healing lifestyle.

Who this program is designed for:

Healthcare professional committed to Therapeutic Touch practice and learning
Have completed a minimum of 12 hours of content in a Basic Therapeutic Touch program by recognized Therapeutic Touch teacher
Have completed a minimum of 14 hours of content in an Intermediate Therapeutic Touch program by recognized Therapeutic Touch teacher
Consistent extended practice of Therapeutic Touch a minimum of 3-4 years
Recommended mentoring arrangement according to NH-PAI criteria

 

Objectives

Examine the relationship of Therapeutic Touch (TT) to personal growth with an emphasis on articulating the interior experience.
Describe the application of the principles underlying Therapeutic Touch at an advanced level.
Explore the TT process through engaging simultaneously in its intricacies during practice.
Describe relevant legal and ethical issues integral to the practice of Therapeutic Touch
Describe variables involved in the healing process
Discuss Therapeutic Touch research methods and findings of relevant and/or current Therapeutic Touch research
Critique the theoretical/philosophical base underlying Therapeutic Touch
